Borderlands

"Borderlines" is an original, large mixed media collage that will add depth and dimension to your space. Vintage maps, carefully sourced from atlases of the world, are hand-bonded to birch wood. The wood is then laser-cut into strips and meticulously reassembled into a geometric composition.

The technique creates an interplay of color and form. The subtle, soft colours and gradient effects evoke a sense of landscape, while the geometric grid of intersecting lines looks at the theme of invisible borders. 

The piece is mounted on a white gesso board, enhancing its clean lines and contemporary feel.

This blend of found objects and precise craftsmanship makes it a unique statement piece. The Yellow, pink and orange hues, combined with bright ocean blues and greys, create a unique statement piece.
