Tangier

An original 3D mixed media collage created from acrylic paint and fine birch wood. Painted strips of wood are precisely cut and reassembled into an intersecting geometric composition, with vivid coral, orange, pink, turquoise and violet tones evoking the warmth, colour and energy of Tangier.

The rhythmic structure draws on the visual language of weaving, while subtle gradations of colour create movement, depth and luminosity across the surface.

This piece is mounted on a gesso-painted white backboard.

The piece can come ready framed in white, black or solid oak wood box frame with a UV perspex glaze. The glaze protects the painting from UV fade and helps to ship my work worldwide.
